Using Key Elements of Fall

Sometimes I go a little crazy with my home decor. Most of you already know that by now, but in case you were new here I wanted to warn you in advance that today I went a little pumpkin crazy & it was wonderful. You see, I had created a pumpkin centerpiece for a Thanksgiving table that I will be blogging soon & I wanted to create a centerpiece on our upstairs living room coffee table with the heirloom pumpkins as well. Why not?! It’s a little crazy, but oh so much neutral fall decor fun. Another thing most of you already know about me is that creating & decorating is what I love & this is one of those decorating adventures I took this week & wanted to quick share with you. This is how our living room looked this afternoon with my heirloom pumpkin coffee table creation…

Use them Anywhere

I mean, can you tell I love these pumpkins? & before anyone says “Well, you can’t use your coffee table.” There is a lot more room on the backside of the coffee table than there is on the front side because the pumpkins are pushed to the front. Ok… now that we got that out of the way because I know someone was thinking it.

Of course this coffee table decor isn’t always practical for everyone, but great for special occasions & holidays, & in our home in this room it works great for our lifestyle. & it’s just pretty. You could also do this in the middle of your dining room table, or on any piece of furniture you have. & of course outside on a patio it would look amazing as well.

I used a cozy throw that I found at Marshalls & placed a wooden crate on top of it to get started. After that I layered some of my heirloom pumpkins that I had. I picked mine up at a local pumpkin farm [support your local farmers!] & after the pumpkins were in place I layered in some of my dried hydrangeas in that I found on the side of the road. I used items we already had & some pumpkins that were very affordable to create this look.. It doesn’t always have to be expensive to create an eye catching holiday decor look.

Even Bella likes it. Only because she wants to eat the pumpkins, but we will pretend she thinks it’s pretty. Mkay. There is a visual of how obsessed with these pumpkins that I truly am. I think I will keep this centerpiece until the pumpkins start going bad. That will be a sad day. What do you guys think of our heirloom pumpkin coffee table decor?
