Yup. Another DIY farmhouse table in the same month. We recently built a farmhouse table for our dining room & I’m in love with it. So why did we build another one? Well, this one was for Painted Farmgirl where we sell at. Jose was asked to build a table for the front of the store & this is what he came up with. He got inspired from a table he saw in a photoshoot in the Anthropologie catalog. We had never really seen a table like it before, so he set out to make his own version of the table & we photographed it in our dining room before we brought it to the store…
I mean. I love it. I kind of wish we would have kept it. I love how primitive it looks & those lovely rounded edges. And the main thing I love about this table is how unique it is. He had so much fun building this piece & I’m so impressed with this creativity & love for what he does. He is one talented dude.
I love that this table is not big & bulky & really doesn’t add a whole love of weight to the room visually. We have a small dining room so this is perfect for the space, though it would be perfect for any dining room really. The table has a very primitive feel & I would love to see it paired with different chairs as well. I decided to use my olive buckets from Target as a centerpiece with an antique grain sack & some greenery from Michaels.
Seriously, part of me wishes we had kept this table, but alas it’s at the store for another person to enjoy. But I do love the original farmhouse table that Mr. LMB built us a few weeks ago & didn’t want to part ways with it either. I mean.. I’m just proud of his work & wish we could keep it all. I really, really love this! I’m always inspired when someone can take a piece like something from anthro and make such a brilliant recreation. I am really in love with the rounded edges, that’s so different, and I love that it’s farmhouse while being really “light”. I’m going to check out his blog to see if this might be doable for us!! The only negative I see – I look at everything through the vein of how hard it would be to clean (isn’t that sad) and all the little grooves makes me think it would be a pain to keep clean. My coffee table is a farmhouse design and I get annoyed enough trying to get the dirt in the crevices on that!! Probably my own neuroses:)
