I was able to visit The Painted Farmgirl this Saturday with my Mom and 2 daughters. We had a great time and found some lovely treasures!

The color is beautiful. What an amazing transformation, I would have never guessed that was the same dresser 🙂

I love the way your blue chest looks. However, I have found by using chalk paint and the wax afterwards you cannot repaint the piece later unless you completely strip it. Without a wax no stripping is necessary , so I always use regular paint in a semi gloss. Do you have a method I am not aware of for painting over a waxed piece?

  4. GO says:

Yay, color! Thanks for explaining how you do things. Why did you wipe off the wax?

Looks great! Love the color too!

  6. Margie says:

Lovely job! I’ve never been a blue girl, but lately I have the urge to paint a nightstand a similar color. I love this transformation – that dresser really didn’t look like much before, but you saw the potential! Great job 🙂 By the way…how do you find all the time!?!?!

  7. It’s beautiful! I really like the color and the handles. Great job!

  8. Andrea says:

Wow! What a fabulous transformation! Can chalk paint be used on laminate furniture? I have a dresser that I would love to paint! Thanks!

  9. As many pieces as I’ve painted, and seen painted, I’m always so pleasantly surprised at the afters! The French Blue looks so lovely on this chest. Fresh, updated and beautiful!!
