This is adorable and truly cozy looking. I would have never thought of putting a wreath in the bedroom but it works out perfectly. All the pillows look so cozy though must be a pain in the butt to move every night. The little side baskets with mini trees is genius, are they real and let off a nice scent too?
Thanks for sharing your room whether it finished or not it looks amazing!

I love your cozy bedroom. I have the dark floors and even the same rug. I have never even considered painting the room white because I have only north-facing windows. How much natural light do you have?

I’ve been checking out your blog for a couple weeks now because I really love your decor style! I love the way you put pieces together. Simply beautiful. I do have a question for you about the striped Ikea bedding….Is it the gray or blue striped duvet? I think I’m color blind (or my computer is crap, LOL!) but I just can’t tell myself. Thanks and Happy Christmas!

New reader here and I LOVE your style. My husband and I just moved to a tiny town in Colorado, moving from Colorado Springs, CO with almost 400 people, and we love it. I’m hell bent on making this house full of cozy and actually decorating because I never did in the last house we owned. I never committed to spending the money or trying to even decorate since my Pottery Barn/West Elm/Restoration Hardware tastes couldn’t fit in my wallet. 😉 But your blog is full of ideas and I look forward to reading along.

  24. […] We began a project at our house last night that I have been dreaming about for years and years and years. Ever since exploring abandoned farmhouses in high school (yes, I was a strange teenager) I have wanted planked walls in my home so bad. Of course in my 70’s split level there aren’t any, so using this DIY tutorial we’ve begun planking! I’m calling it faux shiplap since shiplap is what the old houses had. We tried to do real shiplap but apparently they don’t sell it anywhere outside of Waco, Texas so we had to find something that looked similar and was still a great price. This is the goal look that I’ve been swooning over:(source) […]
