We are only a couple of weeks away from Thanksgiving! It’s one of my favorite days. Family, lots of food, football, cozy sweaters, remember everything we have to be thankful for & cold weather. Ahhhh, just thinking of it is making me giddy inside. This year Thanksgiving is going to be very strange for us. The day before Thanksgiving is the day that Mr. LMB is saying goodbye to the military & a day or two later we will be traveling home to Michigan. It will be a Thanksgiving we will never forget! For those of you hosting Thanksgiving, or if you just want to decorate for the wonderful holiday, Me & a few of my friends wanted to show you different ways to decorate your dining room for Thanksgiving. I created a lovely simple neutral Thanksgiving centerpiece & I hope you love it as much as I do!

I’m swooning over these white & blue pumpkins that I found abandoned on clearance at our local Walmart. Who wouldn’t want these cute guys? For the base I used two burlap grain sacks just laid on the table. I then placed some lovely items I got from Mariposa. The cake stand, The bowl, The tray, & the candlesticks make the centerpiece & they make me feel like a grown up.  At 26 my collection of fine china & beautiful serving trays is slim to none so these are completely treasured & special to me. I figured using something so cherished & special in our dining room for Thanksgiving would be really special & could start a great family tradition for us.  On top of my serving trays & bowls I used my clearance pumpkins & a couple of faux pumpkins along with some vines I cut from my backyard. By mixing the free items, the clearance items, & the lovely treasures it creates a a beautiful balance.

The dining room table is a thrifted find, the bench is a DIY {DIY shutter bench here}, & the buffet is also a thrifted find that we re-did. & what table wouldn’t be complete without napkins, a leaf tray, some turkey salt & pepper shakers, & some lovely serving  spoons all from Marshalls.

Even though I am about to take down our Thanksgiving tablescape because we won’t be here for Thanksgiving, it meant a lot to me setting a Thanksgiving table in this house. It’s a memory for me & it’s fun thinking about what Thanksgiving would be like if we were staying here. What do you think on my take on a Thanksgiving table this year?
