I can comment on this subject since we had those glass shower doors in our bathroom. We rented our house for a year and a half before we bought it and I did exactly what you did! I covered them with shower curtains. I have either used store bought or made them out of sheets for the extra length if I wanted them to be higher up. I have thought of your idea too but didn’t try it. Hey, it works!
Needless to say, after we bought our house, we took out those ugly doors! I didn’t like having to clean them all the time!

I LOVE using window panels for my shower curtains!!!! It’s hard to find just the right shower curtain, design, color, length, width. So using regular curtains is easier and more fun! I hate glass shower doors! They’re hideous and a bear to keep clean! I love what you’ve done with your temp space! 🙂

We are taking down the ugly shower doors on our new house as we speak! We will also be replacing them with curtains as well! Love how the simple changes in your bathroom have made such a big impact!

  4. Turned out great and I really like the wire basket.

Firstly, let me say how much I really love your Blog and even though I have been following it for some time, this is my first post. You really are an inspiration with all your DIY projects and styling that you do. You are incredibly talented. My husband and I are living an expat life overseas and we’re in a rental property, which we are making (within reason and budget) into our own home. I really love what you’ve done with your rental.

Great fix. Thought we’d have to do that but we asked and they removed the shower doors in both our bathrooms. So grateful.

This is genious!! We have ugly glass doors and this would be a great way to add interest and hide the ugly!

  8. […] Oh man. Just looking at the before pictures it makes me mad that we lived with it like that for 6 months & didn’t make the changes sooner. The details? Well, the curtains, rugs, plants, basket, candle, tray, antlers & towels are all from Marshalls. The only new Marshalls items are the curtains & the rugs. The amazing Octagon shelves that reflect the octagon tiles on the floor are from Axel on Etsy. Their whole store is super cute & the shelves are a great focal point in this space. The gray towel with writing is from World Market along with the bath salts, soap, & lotion. The magnified mirror is from Ikea & that’s about it for the source list. You can see the painted cabinet makeover {here}, & more about the curtains {here}. […]

if you hang the curtains with the ends folded in instead of out it hides the opening better. Just thought I would throw this out there. Love your rooms.
