So this past weekend I instagrammed a picture of some painted pumpkins that Mr. LMB & I painted on Saturday night. It was an impromptu date night after being out and about all day & it turned out to be one of the best date nights. At one point Mr. LMB looked at me & said ” This is the best date night. A little DIY, a movie, & my babe.” It made me so thankful for the little moments. Everyday might be date day for us & we do get to thankfully spend so much time together, but it really made me sit back and think that these times are special, all these moments should not be taken for granted. Who knew painting pumpkins could make you so sentimental. Painting pumpkins is such an easy & fun way to update your fall decor & I thought I would share what colors we used & a little before & after of what our painted pumpkins look like.  This isn’t our final fall table, but it’s what it looked like today on this rainy monday afternoon while I drank my tea at the dining room table.

So, before I painted the pumpkins they were looking really orange & in our new house I kind of wanted a tad more simple fall decor at least in our dining room, our porch is looking like a little more “in your face” fall. We purchased all of these faux pumpkins different places like Michaels, Hobby Lobby, & Big Lots to name a few. We painted these pumpkins at night so please excuse the terrible cell phone photos…

Each pumpkin took about two light coats of paint & we randomly selected all the pumpkins to be different colors. We started with three colors & mixed the colors on a few of the pumpkins & gourds. We used Behr ultra white, Behr light french gray, & Behr Lion. Like I said before we mixed some white in with the colors & some other mixtures to make custom colors, but these are what we started with.

The pumpkins turned out rustic looking & that’s just the way I wanted them to look. It was seriously the most easy { & fun} DIY fall project. I must paint all of the pumpkins now! haha.
