It’s finally the day I get to reveal this cute little sunroom makeover! When we moved into our rental a few short months ago I knew that I wanted to give this room a little love to make it cute again. I mean, it was so sad & it kind of smelled funny & let’s face it, I have to make everywhere we live beautiful. The best part about this makeover is that it only cost the amount of paint. That’s it. We already had everything else lying around. The room came together so quickly & easily & has become one of our favorite spots in our historic rental.

The sunroom is located off of our hallway/dining room. We have used this room so much already since we have given it a little makeover. It’s the perfect spot for dinner for two & it makes every night eating our here feel like a date night. I am also obsessed with the fact that we can eat outside with a fan & no bugs thanks to the screens. Of course if we owned this house we probably would have done more & done some things differently, but since this is a rental just freshening up the space was worth it. Love this little sunroom now, but before we touched it, I never wanted to spend any time out there…

I mean. the pictures say it all. By looking at the picture you can see some obvious differences, but here is a little list of  what we did in this little sunroom to breathe new life into it:

-ripped up the old carpet to expose the rustic painted floor boards.
-scrubbed down the floors to remove the carpet glue. We used Murphys oil soap & it worked wonders!
-painted the walls with Behr Marquee Exterior in ultra white
-painted the door with Behr Marquee Exterior in whipped mint.
-painted all the hardware metallic gold.
-gave the old plant stand a makeover {here}.
-made some DIY pineapple art {here}.
-decorated with accessories like a candle from Marshalls, some pillows from Parris Chic Boutique, & some lovely succulents. All of these items we already had in our home & I had fun shopping our house!

I am going to say it again. I love how this little space turned out! The changes were so simple, but made such a huge impact. & the fact that it was just the cost of paint is even better. I’m glad that we were able to make this space more us even though we are renting, & if you are renting & don’t like your space, I say ask your landlords if you can paint & that makes all the difference in the world!
