Our house is slowly in the transition to winter & of course our fall dining room had to be on of the first things to change. I wanted to come up with a rustic centerpiece for the table that was an easy transition from our fall centerpiece that you can see {here}. & the other day as I was walking through Home Depot I came across this tree stump. It said it was fire log, but I clearly saw that it was a centerpiece. I think they labeled it wrong. Anyways, this little stump is only the beginning of our winter centerpiece & other things will be changed & added, but for now this is how the table looks while it’s in transition & I just had to show off this little stump to you guys.

So, fo this DIY tree stump centerpiece you will need a stump. Obviously. You can go chop a tree down, ask someone if they have a stump you can have, or if you are like me & want to do it the easy way to buy a nice clean one that is all ready for you to use with out having to do much to it, Go to your local hardware store & pick one up. Again, I found mine at Home Depot. It was cheap & worth it. Now I am all about candles in my winter decor. I love the warmth, the simplicity, & the eclectic look. For this centerpiece I simply collected some different white candles I had around my house and layered them on the stump. Now this may change again because I am not finished with our winter table yet, but for now this is how I styled the this lovely little stump.
