Well, this past week was full of happy mail! Including a few things for the dining room. Back up a little bit. Our dining room has been in “empty mode” for a few months now, I’m talking empty walls, empty buffet, nothing on the table, I mean empty. This week I received some new chairs from Ikea, a lovely little step stool, & some new artwork from an amazing Etsy shop. I can finally start working on this space so I wanted to take you guys along on the ride. Here is the space pretty empty with a few of the new pieces in it before it’s styled or being close to complete….

Yup, Just like our couches, I purchased the white slipcovered ikea chairs {here} for about $89 a piece. I wasn’t expecting them to wow me because of the price, but seriously these chairs are amazing. They are so sturdy, the material on the slip covers {like our couches} is great quality & I know they will wash well. You can chose the color of your choice, but I chose white, easy to clean {bleach!} when needed & our dining room is open to our living room so they coordinate well with our living room couches. They are so cozy to sit in & I’m excited them to style them in the space.

This is how the chairs came. For two chairs it was a lot of cardboard & boxes, but the chairs were actually pretty easy to assemble. You can do it on your own really easily, but I got lucky and my husband came home right when the Fed Ex guy dropped these babies off so I had some help 😉

Seriously though it’s all a matter of screwing the legs on & placing the slipcovers over the chairs & you are done. Easy dining room chairs that look great anchoring the ends of a dining room table or used all around the table.

There are so many things that are going to be done in this space, first up? Paint that little wood step stool that I also got from Ikea for under $20. I seriously am obsessed with the stool, it’s such great quality & so useful. I asked on Instagram the other day what color it should be…. what color do you think it should be?
