Our patio makeover is finally finished! Seriously, it’s so hard to work on a space when it has rained everyday for 3 weeks straight here in NC all after a tropical storm came through our area. That being said, it was a beautiful 4th of July weekend & we got to put the finishing touches on our back patio this past weekend…finally! I will be showing you the whole space very soon, but for now I just wanted to show you a few details of the space starting with the outdoor sofa that we re-did for the space. Our goal for the space was to thrift, re-use, & recycle most of the items that we used in the back patio space. This couch was no exception & was purchased at our local thrift store for less than $30. Our thrifted outdoor sofa makeover was the first step in styling this space. It’s a lovely solid piece of furniture that just needed some love. I loved the shape & all of the foam was in perfect condition, which is a definite plus!

Ok. Maybe a lot of love. & look at that crazy grass haha, I believe it was actually raining when I took the “before” photo too. I used some satin black spray paint to touch up the entire sofa. Remember {these} DIY placemat pillows I made recently? Well I bought the matching tablecloth not knowing what I was going to use it for at the time. I’m so glad I did because I used it to cover the bottom cushions of this piece. That way it’s easy to remove and wash when needed. for the back cushions I simply used standard sized pillows covered in burlap. All of the accent pillows I had lying around our house not being used.
