I am back from Michigan! I had such an amazing trip. Meeting my nephew was the most surreal experience & he has me wrapped around his teeny tiny fingers. I had so much fun visiting family & friends, but alas it was too short. I didn’t get to see as many people as I wanted to & do all the things I had planned, but there is always next time. While I was home I got to stay with my amazing in-laws for a few days. My mother-in-law is one crafty lady. She is always working on a DIY project & sending me photos of them, I like it because living far away is hard, but we get to share our DIY love together thanks to technology. While I was home she was working on her front porch makeover. She had built these DIY pallet bench, chair, & table herself! She sewed all the pillows, built the welcome sign, made the burlap wreath, & went wild with some yellow spray paint. Seriously she’s a crafty woman. She wasn’t quite finished with the porch, but I still wanted to snap some pictures & show you a peak of my lovely mother-in-laws talent.

Isn’t she so crafty? I wish I could have been there when it was finished, but so far this porch is such happy “hello” before you go into their home. She has big plans for some awesome DIY pallet furniture in their backyard & when I visit home again I will have to keep you updated on all of her progress. What do you think of this summer porch?
