Welcome back to the decorating with color series! Today it’s all about Yellow. Yellow can
be bright and sunny to soft and buttery. It’s a great way to brighten up a space whether
you paint an entire wall or just bring in some yellow accessories into your space.
Yellow is the easiest color for the human eye to see, people who are blind to color
can usually see yellow. Yellow stimulates your memory, your nervous system, your mental
process, & it also encourages communication. Ever wonder why notepads are yellow?
That’s why folks! It’s stimulating and helps your remember your little notes to yourself.
I’ve gathered some inspiration to bring yellow into your spaces from bold
to subtle, from big to little, & from bright to dull. Let’s get motivated to bring

Adding a gorgeous piece of yellow furniture to any room will
add that perfect pop of yellow. I’m loving this shabby yellow
cabinet used as a linen closet in a bathroom, and this stunning
dresser used here as a buffet.

Adding some bold yellow drapes can add that perfect pop of yellow you are looking
for. I’m loving the yellow, chair, door knob, nightstand, and drapes against
all of the neutrals & whites. & I love that they are not all the same shade of yellow,
but they all work together great with out clashing.

Feeling like you want to make a statement with your couch? A yellow
couch would be a huge statement piece. You could go with a vintage velvet
couch, a new couch, or re-upolster a sofa with some yummy yellow fabric.

I think bringing yellow into the kitchen is my favorite use of yellow. Whether it’s a
rug, a painted wall, or even yellow cabinets. It’s where everyone gathers,
why not make it the happiest room in your home with yellow?

Want to change a boring door into something fantastic? Paint it yellow.
A soft or bright yellow will make any door happy and sunny.
